OUGD401 Context of practice- task 2 LCA prospectus

I have identified five features of the LCA prospectus that I think are successful or unsuccessful.
Firstly, the layout of the images is extremely random. There seems to be no structure or continuity across the pages which is exaggerated by the headings aligned top left. Some images look double spaced which creates an awkward emptiness that's really noticeable.
Secondly, the overall style is very minimal, generally lacking creativity. It looks like a brochure for a corporate company such as a bank. However the purpose for the publication is to clearly display information which I think it does well.
This leads me to my third point. The target audience is young creatives looking to be inspired by the institute. I think it could of been improved by adding some personality to the different areas of study. For example, the fashion section could of had some fabrics or sketches incorporated for  a more inviting appearance.
Fourthly, some of the photography feels a little bland and unnecessary. Some of the images have been over cropped which loses impact. However the double page spreads work really well to communicate the essence of the college.
Fifthly, the front cover looks strange. The title has been centrally aligned in the same size leaving the word 'Of' on its own line. In doing this, it makes it the first thing you focus on. The 'O' is symmetrical and doesn't sit equally next to the 'f' which makes it look slightly off centred. Finally, the gloss finish is a nice touch but it's spoilt by the blue from the matt card seeping through.
