OUGD504- 5 Logo/Brand Examples/History

Alzheimer’s Disease National Congress

Here’s an appropriate symbol for the 18th Alzheimer’s Disease National Congress that took place in Monterrey, Mexico earlier this year.

“The logo was inspired by two aspects of this illness: Memory loss, of course, is one. The second, more importantly, is the love and comprehension its patients need to be treated with so the disease can be fought successfully.”

Tin Can

“Tin Can is a Dutch production company that focuses on the development and production of formats in the field of television, branding, online and events.”

“As shown in the movie, the entire identity consists of two basic elements that constitute the logo; namely a basic typography and four basic lines. Each line refers to one of the four disciplines of their profession. These lines are the main ‘format’ for the entire identity and are adaptable to different types of content and applications.”

Jägermeister
“Only a legendary stag’s head would suffice, one with a beaming cross between its antlers. The stag that appeared to a wild hunter and converted him to Christianity. The same hunter who would later become the patron saint of all hunters: Saint Hubertus.
“This stag remains today, as it always has been, the Jägermeister trademark. A symbol of the preservation of our quality and tradition.”

Brand Strategy
We have brought back the spirit of the DJ in our new Brand Promise to joyfully mix the influences of Sport and Lifestyle with the desire to contribute to a better world. “Joy” is what we will try to bring to our consumers and is what will differentiate us from our competition – it’s our point-of-view. While others talk about blood, sweat and tears ofsport, we recognize that they cannot be the only rewards. Rather, we’ll talk about the moments of joy inherent in both sport and life.

Microsoft

The redesign features the Microsoft name in a lighter, straight font called Segoe to replace the italic bold type used in the old standby. The new logo also includes the familiar red, blue, yellow and green colors used in the flag on Microsoft’s Windows operating system, but the colors will be in a square box instead of the curvy template that has been in place for years. Those color boxes evoke the tiles that will be central to Windows 8.
